What is Dance Marathon?

“Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students at more than 150 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. These students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and life skills while raising funds and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families. The year culminates with a 12-40 hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment in celebration of the total amount raised that year.”

Why should I register for Zonathon?

Zonathon is the perfect opportunity to get involved on campus and give back to the community. You’ll get the opportunity to meet new people and have a great time while working to better the lives of children at Tucson Medical Center. It’s easy, fun, and an incredible experience!

How can I get more involved with Zonathon?

You can get involved by volunteering to join a committee, registering as an individual dancer or with a team, or attending any Zonathon event during the year.

What if I can’t dance?

Registering to dance at Zonathon really means taking a pledge to stand for all 12 hours. You’re encouraged to dance and will have plenty of opportunities to do so, but it is in no way required! There will be plenty of other activities to take part in during the marathon.
